The Mick

Mackenzie "Mickey" Murphy is a hard-living, foul-mouthed woman who abruptly has to raise her wealthy sister's children after that sister skips town to avoid federal charges. Mickey abandons her chaotic single life and moves into an upscale Connecticut home, where her blunt manners, cigarettes, and willingness to swat misbehavior collide with private schools, snooty parents, and three pampered kids. The comedy comes from daily disasters, class friction, and Mickey's refusal to play nice, as she improvises parenting, courts disaster, and repeatedly upends the expectations of the gilded community she now inhabits.
