Mehdi travels to spend a sun soaked summer at his girlfriend's family's luxurious villa, hoping for a quiet escape. The moment he steps inside, a simmering dispute erupts between Laure and Philippe's clan and the couple who manage the house, their lives crossing with clashing values and money. Believing his modest background gives him a shot at diplomacy, Mehdi tries to broker calm and steer everyone toward a common sense of order. But every conciliatory move seems to backfire, turning a social gathering into a pressure cooker where pride, etiquette, and loyalty flip sides and small slights ripple into bigger feuds. The result is a comedy born from the gap between appearances and reality.

Directed by Antony Cordier, The Party's Over comes from an original screenplay by Jean-Alain Laban, Steven Mitz and Julie Peyr. It was released in 2025 and features a strong ensemble led by Laurent Lafitte and Élodie Bouchez.
