Hubie is a bashful penguin who loves Marina and longs to prove his devotion in the colony’s pebble pledge. The ritual requires a male to present a pebble to his beloved before they pair up for life. Hubie believes he has found the perfect token when a bright, gleaming stone catches his eye, a symbol he hopes will win Marina’s heart. But a boastful rival named Drake sabotages the moment, hurls Hubie into the rough sea, and the currents sweep him away from home. What follows is a test of courage and perseverance as Hubie faces the world beyond his familiar ice, on a path that will change him and the story he can tell Marina.

Directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, The Pebble and the Penguin arrived in 1995 as a family oriented animated adventure.
