In 1943 a US Navy destroyer escort vanishes while undergoing a top secret test near the Philadelphia shipyard, leaving investigators chasing rumors and a few surviving sailors with more questions than answers. Decades later, two crewmen, David Herdeg and Jim Parker, suddenly materialize in 1984, disoriented by a world that runs on jet cars and screens.
