Nima and Sara have drifted into separate lives, their marriage eroded by daily pressures, unmet expectations, and quiet resentment. They decide a divorce will be cleaner, and begin going through the practical and emotional steps of splitting up. An accident involving a little boy named Mehran intervenes, pulling unexpected responsibility and awkward closeness into their routines.
