Tyrant follows Bassam 'Barry' Al Fayeed, a seemingly ordinary American who has spent years in self-imposed exile from a country ruled by his father. When a family wedding pulls him back to that homeland, he travels with his wife and children, hoping to reconnect with a life he thought he had left behind. The invitation exposes him to a political world he barely recognizes yet never fully escaped, where loyalties, power and fear drive every decision. As Barry tries to bridge two different worlds, the burdens of legacy and the costs of allegiance pull at him and his relatives.
