David Dunn, a reserved security guard, survives a catastrophic train crash that kills everyone around him yet leaves him unhurt. Haunted by that survival, he starts to question why his body seems impervious and what that might mean about his life. A chance meeting with Elijah Price, an intelligent man who lives with a rare disorder that makes his bones fragile, sets off an uneasy investigation into fate, identity, and physical limits.
