Aya Rindo is a detective in the most literal sense, because she exists only as a beautiful severed head. Carried around by her devoted maid Shizuku Hasei, Aya insists on solving crimes despite lacking a body. One night they cross paths with Tsugaru Shinuchi, a half-human Oni slayer whose skills and blunt charm open new doors. The three form an unlikely team and head to Europe, following leads, chasing clues, and interviewing monsters as they hunt for Aya's missing body.
