War of Faith

In 1928 Wei Ruolai starts out as a minor clerk in a financial office, but he's not an ordinary worker. His exceptional memory and eye for patterns mark him as someone who can handle complex data, and that skill brings him to the attention of senior adviser Shen Tunan, who takes him under his wing. As Wei moves up, he sees how power and money are intertwined, and he watches corruption spread through institutions tied to the ruling Kuomintang. He holds a fierce wish to serve his country, and the show follows his choices as he tries to reconcile personal ambition, loyalty to his mentor, and the ethical cost of exposing financial wrongdoing, without revealing plot twists or endings.

Released in 2024, the series was created by Weng Liangping and directed by Yao Xiaofeng. The cast is led by Wang Yibo as Wei Ruolai, with Li Qin, Wang Yang, Zhang Tianyang, and veteran actor Wang Xueqi in key roles.
