Wild Wild West

Set in a sunburned, gadget filled frontier world, Wild Wild West follows a pair of misfit operatives who must stop a dangerous plot. A legless Southern inventor, Dr Arliss Loveless, schemes to rekindle civil strife by targeting the President. Two unlikely partners are drawn into the mission: James West, a fearless gunfighter, and Artemus Gordon, a master of disguise who also builds clever contraptions. Though they come from different worlds, they are forced to cooperate and swap ideas as they chase Loveless across a landscape of steam powered engines and eccentric traps. The plan unravels through bold stunts, witty banter, and energy set pieces as the duo tests loyalty, improvisation, and nerve under pressure. Their mission tests trust and nerve.

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, the film adapts a classic TV idea for the big screen with a screenplay by S S Wilson, Brent Maddock and Jeffrey Price. It arrived in 1999 as a high budget action comedy from Warner Bros.
