In 1984, Maximo Gallardo lands the job everyone in his town has been whispering about, a position at Las Colinas, Acapulco's hottest resort. What feels like a ticket out of small-town life quickly turns into a crash course in hotel politics, guest drama, and the compromises that come with climbing a ladder built on charm and appearances. Maximo has to learn who to trust, how to sell an image, and how his choices affect the people around him, all while trying to keep his original dream intact. The show blends workplace hijinks with emotional beats, keeping the focus on relationships and moral tradeoffs rather than plot twists.

Created by Austin Winsberg, Jason Shuman, and Eduardo Cisneros, the series premiered in 2021 and features Eugenio Derbez alongside Enrique Arrizon as his younger counterpart, with an ensemble that includes Raphael Alejandro, Camila Perez, and Chord Overstreet.
