In the heart of Barcelona, six characters from different walks of life share a weathered apartment and a tense afternoon of revelations. An elderly married couple lives there with her brother and three tenants: a French teacher with a sunny blonde look, a young security guard, a former football player, and a pregnant South American woman. The old man, once a doorman at the opera who dresses in women's clothes, pulls the group together and asks everyone to leave because he plans to die and wants to face his final days alone.
