Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate returning to his hometown, finds that the place and people he loves have changed while he was away. When a mysterious alien relic called the Scarab bonds with him, Jaime suddenly gains a high tech suit and a power set beyond anything he imagined. The discovery throws him into a new orbit of danger, corporate intrigue, and a family legacy he barely understands. As he learns to control the alien technology, he must decide what kind of hero he wants to be and how his choices will affect those he cares about. The balance between everyday life and superhero duty becomes a tightrope walk. He learns the Scarab answers to a deeper purpose and will test his loyalties to family, friends, and the city he swore to protect.
