Body Snatchers

Steve Malone, an Environmental Protection Agency inspector, travels with his family to a remote military installation to check for toxic contamination. The base is run by General Platt, a commander who keeps tight control and a sense of isolation. Marti, Steve’s teenage daughter, befriends Jean Platt and the girls sneak around the outskirts as the adults run tests. As the inspection continues, people at the base start behaving oddly and with a hollow, vacant air. Marti becomes convinced that some of her neighbors and colleagues are no longer human, but plant-like beings quietly replacing those around them. On the periphery, a sense of unease creeps into the family's routine as drills and inspections intensify.
