Drawing Closer

Seventeen-year-old Akito carries a prognosis that shadows his days, leaving him with roughly a year to live. He has grown adept at keeping the world at arm's length, choosing small comforts over big risks. Then he meets Haruna, a girl with an illness that may end her life in as little as six months. The unlikely bond that forms between them starts as shared company and silent understanding, but soon grows into a tentative romance and a pledge to live more fully.
