Enemy Mine

Willis Davidge, a human fighter pilot, is severely damaged in battle and crash lands on a hostile alien world. He soon discovers that he is not alone when another survivor from the opposing side appears: a Drac named Jeriba Shigan. Stranded together with dwindling supplies, the two men must rely on improvisation, rationing, and wary collaboration to endure the elements, strange predators, and the planet's lethal weather. Though trained to hate each other, they exchange crude signals and share what little food and shelter they can salvage. Over time a fragile alliance forms, built on necessity and a growing, complicated respect that transcends species and war.

Directed by Wolfgang Petersen, Enemy Mine adapts Berry Longyear's science fiction novella with a script by Edward Khmara.
