After Bruce Wayne is murdered, Turner Hayes, a rebellious young man raised in Wayne Manor, becomes the center of a scandal when he and several unexpected allies are accused of killing the Caped Crusader. Turner links up with Duela Dent, Carrie Kelley who takes up the Robin mantle, Harper Row, and Cullen Row, the children of Batman's foes. Together they try to clear their names while following the trail that led to Wayne's death, uncovering secrets about Gotham's power players and testing fragile loyalties as they move through a city that doesn't know who to trust.
