Years after leaving a Geist Group facility that helps soldiers ease back into civilian life, Heidi Bergman has built a new, ordinary routine as a waitress while living with her mother. Her life is unsettled when a Department of Defense auditor arrives to question why she walked away from the program. The questions reopen gaps in her memories and prompt her to reexamine what really happened at Homecoming. As she pieces together clues, she discovers that the narrative she has clung to may hide a much larger truth about the facility and its impact on the people involved. The tone stays taut, uneasy, and morally murky as memory collides with reality.

Directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez, series is created by Sam Esmail, Micah Bloomberg and Eli Horowitz and draws on the Gimlet podcast Homecoming. It stars Janelle Monáe, Stephan James, Chris Cooper and Hong Chau and premiered on Amazon in 2018.
