Yui Hirasawa is a high school student who hasn't decided what club to join, but she wants to try something new. Wandering the school, she spots a flyer for the Light Music Club and signs up on a whim, even though she can barely play guitar. The series follows Yui as she learns chords, rehearses with an eccentric group of classmates, and gets swept up in everyday school life, pratfalls, and small victories. Episodes focus on rehearsals, snacks, exams, and a growing closeness among the members, with music serving as the glue that turns a casual afterschool activity into something warm and memorable.
