About Knock on my Tver
Sergey, a solitary farmer in Russia's Tver region, faces debt pressures that force him to part with a slice of his land. The buyer is Alisa, a sharp city entrepreneur who sees an easy profit in this deal. When Sergey unexpectedly resists and asks her to leave, Alisa is surprised and decides to stay in the farmhouse to sway him. A twist of weather seems to help her plan, as a hurricane traps the pair with little room to breathe. With time stuck inside and outside pressures mounting, can the two strangers form more than a business pact, perhaps even love without undermining each other.
Released in 2025, the film is directed by Simon Baghdasaryan with a story credited to Gayk Asatryan, Oksana Seropyan and Andrey Gavrilov.
The film leans on a classic fish out of water premise and uses humor to examine how rural routine meets urban ambition. It explores class differences, resilience, and whether two very different people can connect beyond business thanks to shared moments and growing trust.
