L'Épreuve du feu

Hugo is nineteen and spends every summer on an Atlantic island in a small family house. This time his holiday takes an odd turn because he has undergone a striking physical change, arriving with his girlfriend Queen, a beautician whose bright chatter and glittery nails stand in sharp contrast to Hugo’s quiet, self contained nature. The pair quickly becomes the focal point of the island, drawing looks, speculation, and a flurry of conversations among neighbors, friends, and relatives.
