Miss Violet

Louise Violet is a forty-year-old Parisian teacher sent to a remote French village at the end of the 19th century to open a school where children are still tied to the land and the seasons. She meets resistance from families who depend on harvest rhythms and see little benefit in formal lessons for their kids.
