Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

A reclusive 34-year-old man who has retreated from society dies unexpectedly after saving a group of teens, only to awaken in a new life as Rudeus Greyrat, a newborn in a world of magic and swords. He keeps memories of his previous life and uses that knowledge to train in sorcery and combat far earlier than a normal child would. The series follows his awkward, often stubborn attempts to grow up, learn from mistakes, and build connections with mentors, friends, and family, while the setting expands into wider conflicts and travel across a richly realized fantasy realm. No major plot twists or endings are spoiled here.

Released as a TV anime in 2021, Mushoku Tensei is based on the light novel series by Rifujin na Magonote, with Toshiya Ohno credited among the creatives behind the adaptation. The Japanese cast includes Yumi Uchiyama as Rudeus, Tomokazu Sugita as his former self, Konomi Kohara as Roxy, Ai Kakuma as Eris, and Ai Kayano as Sylphiette / Fitz.

At the same time some viewers and reviewers took issue with pacing and elements of the protagonist's early conduct, making the show a frequent topic for debate as much as admiration.
