Akira Oda and his classmates are ripped from their ordinary school life and transported to another world where summoned students are usually handed overpowering "cheat" skills. Akira ends up with what looks like a mediocre "assassin" status, but his actual abilities soon outpace expectations and eclipse the famed "hero" class. When he starts doubting the King’s reasons for the summons, Akira is framed for a serious crime and labeled a criminal. Branded and hunted, he breaks from the group, forming uneasy alliances while trying to stay one step ahead of both soldiers and the reputations people insist on applying to him.
