Set in 1990s Miami, Pain & Gain follows Daniel Lugo, a charismatic Sun Gym manager who believes the American dream can be grabbed with calculated risk. He recruits two muscular coworkers, Paul Doyle and Adrian Doorbal, to help execute a plan built on coercion. The target is Victor Kershaw, a flashy businessman who they pressure into signing over his fortune after staging an extortion scheme.
