Deep beneath the earth, a glittering realm called the Diamond Domain made by Carbink thrives on the Heart Diamond that feeds its life. Diancie, a Mythical Pokemon who acts as ruler, learns the Heart Diamond is breaking apart, and she lacks the strength to forge a replacement. She sets out to seek aid from Xerneas, hoping the legendary deer can restore balance. At the same time, a gang of thieves schemes to seize control of the diamond producing power, triggering a chain of events that rouses Yveltal from a hidden cocoon and raises the stakes.
