Archaeologist Sigurd Svendsen unearths a clue buried within the infamous Oseberg ship, suggesting a secret tied to Viking history that could rewrite what we know about that era. He is joined by his two children, and together they set off to follow scattered markings and a trail of artifacts that refuse to stay buried. Their hunt drives them into a remote border zone between Norway and Russia, a landscape where modern travelers seldom tread and where miles of snow, ice, and fog complicate every step.
