About Seton Academy: Join the Pack!
Seton Academy drops you into a school where the student body is mostly animals and humans are rarer than a rare insect. Jin Mazama, the lone human boy in his class, arrives with a wary view of creatures big and small, and soon finds his feelings tested when he crosses paths with Hitomi Hino, the other human girl. Rather than drift apart, Jin is dragged into Lanka the wolf's makeshift pack, and what begins as uneasy coexistence slowly turns into unlikely friendship. To channel their growing camaraderie, Jin and Hitomi launch a cooking club, inviting Ranka Ōkami and a quirky cast of animal classmates. What follows is a playful, warm look at how bonds can form across boundaries.
Created in 2020 by Bungo Yamashita and Shigeru Murakoshi, Seton Academy presents an original concept for an animated comedy about a human teen moving through a campus of animal peers. It leans into playful designs, comfy humor, and a warm sense of community rather than big dramatic stakes.
The show did not secure major nominations on widely recognized award platforms. It did earn praise from fans for its witty premise and lively character work, but it did not receive the kind of industry recognition that typically tracks on the main award circuits.
The show stands out with its humorous take on a school where species differences become the punchline for friendship rather than fear. It invites audiences to see ordinary school life through an animal driven lens, highlighting empathy and collaboration.
Viewers praised the warm humor and the mix of shy romance and buddy comedy. The series centers on acceptance, unlikely friendships, and teamwork, pairing charm with wit as Jin and his classmates learn that differences can become strength. Its light pace keeps the tone breezy while inviting viewers to reflect on collaboration under pressure.
