Starman

An alien visitor arrives on Earth and takes the form of a recently widowed Wisconsin woman’s husband, trying to learn about human life by asking Jenny Hayden to travel with him to Arizona. While government agents track their movements and try to intercept the pair, Jenny is drawn into a strange companionship with this otherworldly traveler who wears a borrowed man’s manner and a patient curiosity about love, loss, and the small rituals of everyday life. Along the drive from quiet Midwestern towns to the desert, they share meals, car rides, and conversations that reveal the alien’s ignorance of human feeling and his stubborn hope for connection.
