When the regional branch of Capitol-Insurance is summoned to a lavish hotel for the company's 50th anniversary, Bernd Stromberg sees a chance to prove his worth. Rumors about financial trouble mean staff worry about closures and transfers to headquarters. Stromberg, ever eager to be seen as an ideal manager, tries to rally his awkward, fractious team while keeping his own reputation intact.
