Tamagon the Counselor centers on a tiny, egg-obsessed monster called Tamagon who offers to solve other characters' problems in exchange for eggs. After he eats his fee, Tamagon sets out with a scheme to fix whatever trouble the client has, using bizarre tricks and offbeat logic. His ideas usually misfire, turning simple requests into chaotic set pieces that end with clients furious and chasing him out of town. Episodes are short, focused on quick comedic beats and repeated gags, so plotlines reset frequently and the humor comes from Tamagon's appetite, inventive failures, and the escalating consequences of his well-meaning but ill-advised solutions.

Broadcast in 1972 by Tatsunoko Production, the series was created by Tatsuo Yoshida and Takao Koyama and directed by Hiroshi Sasagawa. Known abroad as Eggzavier the Eggasaurus, it ran as a brief animated short-form program and featured Hiroshi Otake as narrator and Tōru Ōhira voicing Tamagon.

The show didn't earn major awards or notable nominations, and it never attracted the kind of industry recognition that larger titles from the era received. Any formal honors are absent from mainstream records, so its legacy rests outside prize lists.
