About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

On their fifteenth birthday four brothers surface from the sewers and find that life above ground is louder, faster and fuller of surprises than they expected. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael each bring a unique set of skills and a temperament that can clash and click at the same time, making teamwork essential. Guided by their rat mentor Splinter and supported by human ally April O'Neil, the turtles juggle school, friendships and a growing sense of duty while keeping their secret identities hidden. As new threats roll into New York City, the team learns to adapt and lean on one another to keep the city safe without losing sight of who they are.

Developed for Nickelodeon by Joshua Sternin, Jennifer Ventimilia and Ciro Nieli, the series arrived on screen in 2012. It reimagines the familiar team for a new generation with sharp animation and a lively voice cast.

This version solidified the TMNT presence on Nickelodeon and broadened the franchise to families and new fans. Its mix of humor, action and teamwork helped renew interest in the turtles, fueling ongoing merchandise, tie ins and fan discussion across years.

Critics welcomed its brisk pace, bright animation and the standout performances from the main cast: Seth Green as Leonardo, Rob Paulsen as Donatello, Sean Astin as Raphael, Greg Cipes as Michelangelo and Mae Whitman as April. Its core themes focus on teamwork, personal growth and protecting friends.
