Wild at Heart reimagines a classic Mexican telenovela around Maricruz Olivares, a young woman from a humble coastal community who crosses paths with Octavio Narváez, a man from a wealthy family. Their attraction ignites conflict with Octavio's relatives, especially Lucía and Miguel, who work to protect the family's status and wealth. Events push Maricruz to reinvent herself, adopting the name María Alejandra Mendoza as alliances shift and old wounds resurface. She leans on determination and unexpected allies while social pressure and secret resentments complicate every decision. The story follows romantic entanglements, family rivalries and class tensions, and it keeps the emotional stakes centered on personal dignity rather than spectacle, and resilience.

Released in 2013 by Televisa, Wild at Heart was produced by Nathalie Lartilleux, directed by Víctor Fouilloux and Victor Rodriguez, created by Carlos Romero, Inés Rodena and Tere Medina, and starred Ana Brenda Contreras, Daniel Arenas and Elizabeth Álvarez.
