Polina arrives at a new high school and quickly becomes the target of relentless bullying. When Bars, the school tough, intervenes, he proposes a pragmatic bargain: he will act as her boyfriend and keep others off her back, and she must obey his demands in public. Their staged relationship is meant to be a shield and a performance, but as they repeat the roles, small acts of care start to alter how they see each other.
