In Tokyo, quiet transfer student Sena Kobayakawa hides a startling speed behind a meek exterior. When Yoichi Hiruma, the scheming captain of Deimon High's American football squad, spots that talent he maneuvers Sena onto the Devil Bats as a secret weapon. To avoid rival poaching, Sena keeps up the act of the team secretary and slips onto the field wearing a visor and the alias 'Eyeshield 21'.
