About Invisible Sister
Teenage Cleo is a science enthusiast who dreams up a school project. She tinkers with a device for energy experiments, but a miscalculation sends a jolt through the lab turning Molly, Cleo's older sister, into an unseen presence. With Molly gone from sight, the cafeteria buzz shifts as rumors rise, and Cleo juggles homework, prankish classmates, and a home in chaos. Her friends Nikki and Molly's friend Ashton try to help, while George, a quirky neighbor, offers comic advice that only makes things messier. As Cleo and her circle piece together clues, they discover that invisibility has consequences and that courage means owning up to mistakes and helping family in need. The tone stays light with moments and sisterly bond.
Directed by Paul Hoen and released in 2015 as a Disney Channel Original Movie, Invisible Sister is based on an original story by Billy Eddy, Matt Eddy and Jessica O'Toole, with a brisk pace and bright, family friendly production.
Visually light and family friendly, the film centers on responsibility, ingenuity, and sibling trust. The comedic setup enables quick pace and broad humor while emphasizing honesty, teamwork, and the idea that loving family helps solve problems even when plans go wrong. Cleo learns to communicate, delegate tasks, and value guidance from friends and mentors.
Within tween fantasy comedies on television, Invisible Sister holds a modest but memorable place for fans of Rowan Blanchard and Paris Berelc. The invisible sister premise yields playful scenes, clever gags, and witty exchanges that linger with audiences who enjoyed light science driven adventures and messages about family values.
Box office: This was a television movie and did not receive a theatrical release, so no box office gross is reported. It aired on the Disney Channel as part of a programming night for family audiences and viewers worldwide.
