On a war torn world of magic and machines, a young soldier named Adora follows orders until she unearths a shimmering blade that awakens a forgotten legend inside her. The weapon awakens her dormant identity as She-Ra, a luminous protector who can rally a long-suffering people. With the sword in hand she steps away from routine duty and into the wider rebellion, a coalition of rebels fighting a ruthless regime. As Adora learns to wield power, she discovers the cost of leadership and the bonds that bind her to her companions.
