About Turbo FAST
After Turbo the snail shocks the world by winning the Indianapolis 500, his life shifts when he returns from a victory tour to find that Tito has built Starlite City, a detailed miniature metropolis with an elaborate racetrack. Turbo moves in with other snails and forms the Fast Action Stunt Team, but fame doesn't slow things down. New challengers, quirky rivals and unexpected obstacles keep Turbo busy, and episodes balance high-speed races with everyday problems, jokes and team dynamics. He and teammates Chet, Whiplash, Burn and Skidmark mix racing with goofy antics and fast-paced short episodes, with heart.
Released on Netflix in 2013, Turbo FAST was created by Chris Prynoski and David Soren and produced by DreamWorks Animation Television. It adapts the 2013 feature Turbo into short episodic adventures aimed at kids and family audiences worldwide.
The series didn't claim major industry awards, but it earned a modest fanbase among younger viewers and drew attention for its witty, fast-paced episodes. It also garnered industry attention for its animation style and short-form storytelling.
As an early DreamWorks-Netflix series, Turbo FAST showed how a theatrical animated property could be extended into original streaming shorts. Its characters and rapid-fire humor helped it stay visible in children's streaming lineups, and it reinforced the idea of turning movie spinoffs into episodic content.
On user-driven sites the show averages 7.765 out of 10 based on 34 votes, praising its silly humor and brisk pacing. Episodes emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and creativity, with villains and rivals providing lessons about fair play and friendship for young viewers. Parents liked its short runtime for younger attention spans.
