The Home

Max is a man haunted by a difficult past who takes a security job at a quiet retirement home. On the surface the place looks orderly, but whispered rumors hint at something sinister behind closed doors. As Max probes the residents' odd routines and the staff's evasive answers, the fourth floor becomes a forbidden zone that everyone avoids. He discovers choices from his own childhood echo in the building and in the residents who seem to know more than they admit. The investigation tightens around him, forcing him to reckon with memory, guilt, and the possibility that the home is a reflection of who he used to be.

Directed by James DeMonaco and Adam Cantor, The Home comes from an original screenplay and a contemporary collaboration that leans on restrained performances and a claustrophobic setting to build suspense, drawing on familiar thriller textures rather than adaptation.
