Burning for Revenge is a Mexican telenovela that follows the intertwined lives of the Elizondo and Robles Reyes families. Sofía Elizondo, played by Adela Noriega, sits at the emotional center as long-buried secrets begin to surface. Juan and Óscar Robles Reyes, portrayed by Eduardo Yáñez and Jorge Salinas, become involved with the Elizondo sisters, and passion, suspicion and old grievances collide. As loyalties shift and revelations arrive, characters make decisions that reshape family ties, while mystery and melodrama keep the tension high. Layered subplots complicate loyalties, with slow-burning tension punctuated by sudden confrontations and unexpected alliances.

The series premiered on Canal de las Estrellas on January 21, 2008, directed by Miguel Córcega and created by Liliana Abud, Julio Jiménez and Ricardo Fiallega. It adapts the Colombian dramas Las Aguas Mansas and Pasion de Gavilanes, in Mexico.

Burning for Revenge won the TVyNovelas Award for Best Telenovela in 2009, a major recognition within Mexican television. The accolade reflected the show's popularity and industry recognition during its run, highlighting its impact on the telenovela landscape and popular acclaim.

Audience response has been positive, with a vote average of 7.458 out of 10 from 144 votes, reflecting steady approval. Viewers pointed to intense romantic entanglements, family conflict, secrecy and revenge as central themes, while performances by the principal cast drew particular attention, and serialized plotting appealed widely.

The show's theme song "Para Siempre", sung by Vicente Fernández, became closely associated with the series, helping cement its identity.
